Peter Yoon is Chair and Professor of Computer Science Department at Trinity College. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1996, where he developed numerical algorithms for guidance and control systems for underwater signal processing at Applied Research Laboratory. Prior to joining the faculty of Trinity College in the fall of 2000, he has taught at Azusa Pacific University for five years. His primary teaching interests include computer systems and high performance computing. His current research efforts are focused on the development, analysis and high performance implementation of novel algorithms for large-scale matrix computations and their applications in image processing using general-purpose GPUs.
