Xiao-Yan Shu '02 was named Presidential Fellow for Computer Science for the 2001-2002 Academic Year. The Presidential Fellowship is generally awarded by the faculty to the top Computer Science major. The decision is generally based upon the student's Grade Point Average, although in the case of ties other factors are taken into consideration.
In joining the Presidential Fellows, Xiao-Yan will be the CPCS department's representatives in meetings and gatherings with the Fellows from the other academic departments. The Fellows meet on a regular basis with President Thomas to discuss issues of importance for the Trinity community.
Congratulations Xiao-Yan!
